Nabeel Kouka, MD, DO, MBA, MPH is a Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine Specialist and the Medical Director of Salus Neuromuscular Institute in Aventura, Florida. During his 35 years of research and practice, he developed an Integrative Treatment Program that offers alternative approach for patients suffering from Neuromusculoskeletal diseases and injuries
In 2000, Dr. Kouka was among the pioneer physicians to have training in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery. Dr. Kouka’s Integrative Treatment Program combines cutting edge Conventional and Holistic Medical techniques to provide comfort to pain sufferers without the need for surgery.
These treatment programs and techniques include, but not limited to, Osteopathy, Neural Therapy, Stem Cell and Gene Therapy.
Dr. Kouka received his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Odessa Medical Institute in Odessa, Ukraine and worked as a Neurosurgeon for over ten years in several countries, including Russia and Ukraine. Also, he was the only Neurosurgeon in Southern Kuwait and Iraq during the first Gulf War in 1990-1991 prior to his arrival to the U.S.
In United States, he received Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York, M.B.A. degree from Monmouth University in New Jersey and M.P.H. degree from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Maryland.
In addition to completing Neurosurgical training in Penza, Russian Federation and in Kiev, Ukraine, Dr. Kouka completed Family & Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine Residency at Larkin Hospital in South Miami, Florida.

Dr. Kouka is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment. He received Certificate in Minimally Invasive Spinal Surgery (M.I.S.S.) and Certificate in Environmental and Occupational Health from Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. Kouka has published several articles, presentations, publications and e-books on Neuroscience, Traumatic Brain Injury, Low Back Pain and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery. He was honored for achievements accomplished during the first Gulf War and received the 2010 Volunteer Physician & Surgeon to Haiti award.
